Anki export is the feature that separates serious subtitle tools from translation toys, and it's LangPanda's strongest card. Here's what it does and what you need.
What the export includes.
When you save a word or sentence while watching, LangPanda captures the full context automatically: the sentence as spoken, the audio of the actor's actual line, and a screenshot of the moment. Exported to Anki, that becomes a card with real media — the kind sentence-mining veterans build by hand at two to three minutes per card. This is the workflow difference: manual card creation is the reason most people quit sentence mining, and automating it is most of what you're paying for.
What you need first.
Anki itself is free, open-source software (ankiweb.net). The bridge between LangPanda and your Anki collection is AnkiConnect, a free community add-on for the Anki desktop app that lets other tools add cards directly to your decks. Install Anki, add AnkiConnect from Anki's add-on menu, and keep Anki running while you export.
If you don't use Anki at all:
you don't need it. LangPanda includes its own review system, PandaMemory, which runs the modern FSRS-5 scheduling algorithm and syncs to iOS/Android apps — the same cards, no Anki setup.
